Our Exalted Ruler

Welcome to the Smithfield Elks Lodge #2359. I hope your visit to our website is both enjoyable and informative.

It is truly an honor to continue serving as your Exalted Ruler for another Elk year. I want to sincerely thank our members for their support and confidence, and I look forward to working together to further strengthen our lodge and the community we proudly serve.

As always, our focus remains on the Elks’ Cardinal Virtues: Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love, and Fidelity. These principles guide everything we do—from supporting local charities and veterans, to helping youth in our community and fostering fellowship among our members.

I am grateful to serve alongside such a dedicated group of officers and volunteers. Their time, commitment, and enthusiasm help make our lodge successful, and I thank them for their continued efforts to move our lodge forward.

There are many ways for members to get involved and make a difference. Whether by joining a committee, attending our monthly lodge or board meetings, or participating in the many events we host throughout the year, every contribution helps strengthen our lodge.

Membership growth is also vital to our future. Please continue to share the benefits of Elkdom with friends and family and invite them to experience the camaraderie and community service that make our organization so special. We are always proud to welcome new members.

I also encourage everyone to continue supporting the Elks National Foundation (ENF). The ENF plays a vital role in helping Elks build stronger communities by supporting youth programs, scholarships, veteran's services, state association charitable work, and grants that benefit local communities like ours.

The success of Smithfield Lodge #2359 depends on the engagement and involvement of its members. Together, we can continue to make a meaningful impact in Smithfield while enjoying the fellowship that makes being an Elk so rewarding.

I look forward to seeing you at the lodge soon.

Fraternally yours,

Fran Desjarlais
